After being in numerous bands as a keyboard player and singer, Janice Grace is stepping into her own spotlight. Her music is entwined with guitars and synths; pop songwriting with a dark edge. The first keyboard she played was her Mother's Hammond B3. As a hobby, her father would assist in repairing pipe organs in the Beacon Theatre and the original Paramount Theatre in NYC. Later on she graduated to playing Cathedral organs where she studied French Gothic Organ Music at Westminster Choir College. This influence is evident in her music. With an insouciant blend of pop and electronica-tinged tunes, New York singer/writer/producer Janice Grace’s memorable debut disc is fresh, startlingly self-assured, and resonant with emotional nuances.
